Storyteller consent

Consent should feel clear, not intimidating.

Effective date: 19 July 2026. Qissa may be bought as a gift, but the storyteller gives their own consent before any story session is recorded.

Onboarding consent script

Assalamualaikum [Name], this is Qissa. [Buyer name] has gifted you a Qissa family story project.

A Qissa Story Guide will listen to your story in agreed phone or Google Meet sessions. With your permission, we will record the sessions and may transcribe, professionally write, translate, edit, store, and use the memories and photographs you choose to share to create a private family book. Selected audio may be privately linked through QR codes only with your approval.

You can skip any question or ask us to stop.

Please reply "YES, I AGREE" if you consent to participate.

The storyteller stays in control

They can skip any question or pause a session.
They can ask Qissa to stop future story collection.
They can ask questions before agreeing.
Their stories are not used for public marketing unless they give separate written permission.
