Storyteller consent

Consent should feel clear, not intimidating.

Effective date: April 29, 2026. Qissa may be bought as a gift, but the storyteller gives their own consent before story collection begins.

Assalamualaikum [Name], this is Qissa. [Buyer name] has gifted you a Qissa family story project.

Qissa will send you story prompts and may collect your voice notes, written replies, photos, and memories. We may transcribe, translate, edit, store, and use them to create a private family book and digital archive. Selected recordings may be linked through QR codes in the book for approved family members.

You can skip any question or ask us to stop.

Please reply "YES, I AGREE" if you consent to participate.

The storyteller stays in control

They can skip any question.
They can ask Qissa to stop future story collection.
They can ask questions before agreeing.
Their stories are not used for public marketing unless they give separate written permission.
